An Institutional Scientific Committee (ISC) is a dedicated body within research institutions, hospitals, or universities that evaluates research proposals for scientific merit, design quality, and technical feasibility. It ensures research is scientifically sound before ethics review, typically reviewing study objectives, methodology, and analysis.

Responsibilities & Functions

*   Scientific Review: Constitute review Committee, evaluates the novelty and feasibility of research proposals.
*   Approval & Monitoring: Approves studies, suggests modifications, and monitors ongoing progress to ensure scientific integrity.
*   Coordination: Works alongside the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC/IRB) to ensure both scientific and ethical standards are met.
*   Mentorship: Reviews faculty and student projects to ensure timely completion and compliance with standards.
*   Documentation: Research Publications and all other research activities
